Explore CloudSigma's architecture
Where Innovation Meets Optimal Cloud Performance
CloudSigma's compute infrastructure, featuring Utilhosts with Ubuntu, delivers essential services from VMWARE management to DDoS protection, prioritizing redundancy and performance. Our VMWARE Compute Hosts, equipped with ESXi, offer top-tier Hypervisor technology for hosting VMWARE VMs, ensuring performance and overload protection. Additionally, KVM Compute Hosts, utilizing QEMU/KVM virtualization, support end-user KVM VMs with efficient resource use and essential services. Across all platforms, redundant power and networking maintain seamless operations.
CloudSigma's clustered storage, using SSDs and magnetic drives, ensures triple-layered data security. Our approach surpasses traditional storage by maximizing IOPS performance across server clusters, utilizing advanced hardware. Experience fast, low-latency access with our unique network protocol and on-disk format. We ensure reliability and redundancy, outperforming RAID systems, with data spread across servers. Even during node failures, our system seamlessly shifts to available nodes, maintaining consistent performance. CloudSigma's storage embodies our dedication to availability, performance, and value, supported by features like hot node replacement and triple replication.
CloudSigma prioritizes security, with advanced firewalls on routers, SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption, and Cloudflare partnerships for enhanced web safety. DDoS protections monitor traffic, maintaining smooth operations. We use SSH protocols, LDAP access controls, and CA over LDAP for cryptographic integrity. 2FA, VPNs, LastPass, and ReCaptcha bolster defenses. Regular vulnerability updates from Linux communities and HPE, plus penetration tests with tools like nikto and OpenVAS, ensure robust protection.
CloudSigma's architecture is crafted with contemporary design principles, devoid of limiting legacy constraints. We emphasize availability, performance, scalability, and effortless maintenance. Our modular, decoupled framework ensures adaptability amidst rapidly changing tech landscapes. Opting for resilient components, we maintain the agility to chart our own course without being tied down. Every architectural decision is made with a focus on scalability and a hardware-neutral stance. Furthermore, our commitment to innovation is evident in our continuous efforts to enhance user experience. We proudly integrate a myriad of external drivers and foster valuable partnerships with names like HPE, VMWare, Ubuntu, Zendesk, Nagios and New Relic, ensuring our cloud remains relevant and user-centric.

CloudSigma emphasizes data safeguarding through multi-layered backups:
Local Backups: For all cloud and utilhost VMs.
API Database Strategy: Combines local replication, ZFS snapshots, cloud replication, and both local and remote weekly backups.
Monitoring Tools: Monthly and weekly remote backups for Zabbix and sFlow respectively.
Version & Network Control: Uses mercurial and git for automation and weekly backups for networking configurations.
User Empowerment: Backup functionality provided directly through the UI for customer data protection.
Overview of CloudSigma's billing and usage features:
Usage & Purchasing: Provides real-time updates on your consumption of resources, including compute, storage, data transfer, networking, and additional services like migration, disaster recovery, and software licenses. Resources can be bought directly.
Pricing: Both subscription and burst pricing details are provided for resources. The billing system evaluates total resource use every five minutes, accommodating both on-demand and subscription-based purchasing.
Add Funds: Customers can refill their accounts via credit/debit card, PayPal, or bank transfer.
Subscriptions: Details all active subscriptions linked to your account.
Reports: Availability of weekly and monthly reports detailing usage, spending, resource surplus, and financial transactions.
Billing Logs: Charges are computed every five minutes for resource usage surpassing subscription limits. Resource-specific billing ensures you're only charged for what you use. Burst pricing fluctuates based on the cloud's overall activity and the resource provisioning timeline.
Payment History: Catalogs all your financial transactions, including payment methods and status.
